Damian Straszak
Damian Straszak is a developer and researcher at Cardinal Cryptography working on Aleph Zero. He holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Computer Science from École Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), with a focus on Continuous Optimization. His extensive research portfolio primarily encompasses the fields of Cryptography and Distributed Computing, with prior involvement in Discrete Optimization and Convex Programming. For over 15 years, Damian has actively participated in the Competitive Programming scene, consistently demonstrating his exceptional skills and strategic prowess. Notably, he reached the ACM ICPC World Finals in both 2013 and 2014, initially as a participant and subsequently as a team coach. Furthermore, Damian has played a pivotal role in organizing numerous large-scale programming competitions, showcasing his commitment to fostering collaboration and excellence within the programming community.
