2024-09-06 , Baltic Stage

This Panel will discuss the current state of L2s wrt to fees that are paid to L1. These are the example of questions that will be explored:
- Can settlement fees cover L1 expenses ?
- Are we not pricing L1 enough ?
- Do L2s actually need Ethereum-native assets ?
- Is L2-centric strategy sustainable ?
And in general - with the competition from L1s such as Solana, has Ethereum put too much emphasis on L2s neglecting L1 ?
