Marek holds a Ph.D. in Multi-Agent Systems and taught Data Science at the Schulich School of Business in Toronto where he co-founded Canada’s first academic Blockchain Research Lab in 2016. He was among the first to describe blockchain-based traceability & provenance as well as multi-agent systems on the blockchain. He has worked with the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business on Blockchain standards for cross-border trade facilitation.

Marek co-founded New Order, an on-chain incubation DAO which has launched several successful DeFi projects and is currently serving as an advisor for a number of Web3 projects and protocols.
